The non-profit art and interaction space YUNT has opened its doors with its inaugural exhibition "Where is the City?", curated by Emre Zeytinoğlu.

The first exhibition of YUNT, opened in Sultanbeyli, titled "Where is the City?" moves beyond nostalgic approaches or future-oriented constructive thoughts about Istanbul. The exhibition operates based on the current reality of the city. In a mega city where the distinction between "center-periphery" is beginning to blur today, it draws attention to the fact that neither an ideal "Istanbullite," nor the differentiation between those who came later and are claimed to be "foreign to that culture," nor the singularity of "old Istanbul images" can be discussed.

There's a series of talks:
November 18, 2023 Prof. Dr. Murat Güvenç – “What Happened within the City's Boundaries Over Time”
December 16, 2023 Prof. Dr. Güncel Önkal – “Urban Space as a Space of Segregation and Differentiation”
January 13, 2024 Prof. Dr. Pınar Erkan – “Istanbul Beneath This Asphalt”
February 3, 2024 Prof. Dr. Nedret Öztokat Kılıçeri – “The City as the Object of Our Sense of Place”
