Time Scale, which presents Erginoğlu & Çalışlar's thirty years of architectural production to be examined in parallel with the memory of the period, will be open to visitors at MSGSÜ Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center Tek Kubbe Hall between 3-31 May 2024.
Time Scale examines the architectural production of Erginoğlu&Çalışlar, which was founded in Istanbul in 1993 by Kerem Erginoğlu and Hasan Çalışlar. Curated by Meriç Öner, the exhibition will convey the thirty-year adventure of the office with objects compiled from the research, design and implementation processes of the projects. While the compilation, which includes original sketches, drawings, models and photographic records, is placed in a chronological order in the space, objects borrowed from the physical and digital accumulation of the office will be presented in the exhibition in accordance with their original structures. The fiction that helps to separate project representation styles according to the periods they belong to also aims to bracket the daily change of technology in the field of architecture. In parallel with the works, the series of events added to the Timeline will spread the exhibition over a common past, recalling some thresholds of thirty years in Turkey and the world.
