Somewhere Else consists of six films that follow female characters' internal and external journeys as they transcend boundaries shaped by dreams, struggles, longing, and loss. The selection explores journeys that unfold not only across distances but also through time, memory, the body, and identity, bringing together works by pioneering female filmmakers Chantal Akerman, Jane Campion, Agnès Varda, Lucrecia Martel, Kelly Reichardt, and Payal Kapadia.

Taking place at the Pera Museum Auditorium from March 5 to 28, the program features All We Imagine as Light, the story of two nurses in Mumbai's chaotic atmosphere who find solidarity to survive; the avant-garde documentary News from Home, where the director narrates letters from her mother during her years in New York; Wendy and Lucy, a tale of a young woman struggling with financial hardship on the margins of society; The Headless Woman, which traces the lingering effects of trauma and collective amnesia; The Piano, a story of the pursuit of freedom centred around a piano; and Vagabond, following Mona Bergeron's boundary-breaking journey of displacement and detachment.

Film screenings within this program are accessible with a discounted museum entrance ticket. Tickets can be purchased from Biletix or the reception of Pera Museum. Per legal regulations, all screenings are restricted to persons over 18 years of age unless stated otherwise.
