Postgraduate thesis studies at different levels such as master's degree, doctorate/proficiency in art, which have been carried out in the field of Interior Architecture in Turkey since the 1980s, have contributed to the formation of a significant amount of knowledge and the spread of the scientific research tradition.
For this purpose, Prof. 'İÇLİS I Interior Architecture Graduate Studies Symposium-I' (2016) and 'İÇLİS I Interior Design Symposium-I' (2016), designed by Dr.Özge Cordan, under the leadership of Istanbul Technical University Interior Architectural Design International Master's Program -IMIAD and hosted by Istanbul Technical University Interior Architecture Department 'Architecture Graduate Studies Symposium-II' (2017) and 'İÇLİS I Interior Architecture Graduate Studies Symposium-III' (2020) in cooperation with Yaşar University Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department have been successfully implemented and completed.
“ İÇLİS I Interior Architecture Graduate Studies Symposium-IV ”, on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, in cooperation with Istanbul Technical University, one of Turkey's well-established educational institutions, and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University , between 20-22 December 2023 , Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. It will be hosted by the Department of Interior Architecture .
The purpose of the symposium; To create a platform where postgraduate thesis studies at different levels such as master's, doctorate, and proficiency in art, produced on subjects related to Interior Architecture, are shared. It is thought that a discussion environment where young researchers share their thesis studies will be useful in determining research areas and revealing needed subject areas and research potential.
Young researchers and their advisors who have completed (within the 2022-23 Academic Year) or are about to complete their postgraduate education in subjects related to interior architecture in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus - TRNC (expected to be completed by the end of the 2023-24 Academic Year at the latest) are invited. The symposium will be held face to face, and the abstracts (in Turkish and English) presented at the symposium will be published as an e-proceeding book. The language of the presentation and summary is Turkish or English.
