We are very pleased to welcome back dear @kaethewenzel and the Future M project which took place in Gönül Lokantası as a parallel event of the 17. Istanbul Biennial within the scope of PASAJ TARLABAŞI last year.
This year the Future M Project Exhibition will take place at PASAJ @ Barın Han on Thursday 15 February 2024 at 18:00 after the opening speech; “Migration and Arrival”, moderated by Tuce Erel.
Future M is an interview-based archive on migration as a skill. It is about arrival, deep listening, and the limits of documentation. Talk about migration often focuses on trauma and “When will you go back?” Käthe Wenzel asks about the work of arrival.
In Istanbul, Gonül Lokantası located in Tarlabaşı, people living in the area talked to her about their experiences, and their recipes for feeling at home in Istanbul.
