Sadberk Hanım Museum, Turkey’s first private museum, is celebrating the Centenary of the Turkish Republic with an exhibition about women and fashion. Entitled “Elegance from Past to Future: Women’s Costume from the Late Ottoman Period to the Early Years of the Turkish Republic”, the exhibition is being held in the house that was formerly Abdülmecid Efendi’s summer home between 29 October 2023 and 29 October 2024.

The exhibition has been organised with the support of the Vehbi Koç Foundation and Koç Holding. In addition to exhibits from the Sadberk Hanım Museum Collection there are also objects from the Rahmi M. Koç Museum, İnönü Foundation, Mutlu İlmen, Ayfer Neyzi and Yapı Kredi Bank collections. The exhibition is curated by Sadberk Hanım Museum Director Hülya Bilgi, Art History Expert Dr. Şebnem Eryavuz and Bahattin Öztuncay, and designed by Dr. Umut Durmuş.
